Whenever I go through a bout of heavy songwriting, I seem to turn to the NDLR to cleanse my palate; the NDLR is simple but always leads to results I'm really pleased with. This time, I let my Patreon supporters choose the synths I'd use, and I filled in the (limited) remaining space with some Eurorack effects for added texture and space. Of the four that my supporters chose, the Deckard's seemed the best choice for pads, and the Perfourmer for bass/drone. That left the Typhon and Polybrute for motifs, which I think turned out to be the right call. While each device is analog in its sound generation, each one brought its own unique strengths to its job. I sat down to try to find the song with my supporters on a livestream, played the song through once, and already knew what it would look like. Such is the power of the NDLR!
