Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Rail Journeys In this video we are gonna show you 2 films that were recorded during the Autumn of 2021 between September & November with some add on bonus clips from the spring of 2021. The 1st engine we review is by the time this video is made the newest new build steam locomotive to steam in the 21st century The Great Western Railway Society's GWR Saint class 4-6-0 2999 Lady of Legend during her 1st season visiting heritage railways away from her home at Didcot Railway Centre. We 1st see her during her visit to The Severn Valley Railway during April 2021 appearing at the line's spring steam gala which was over a year in the making caz to Covid-19. We catch up with her 5 months later during her visit to The North Yorkshire Moors Railway's Steam Gala in September 2021. We feature her not only on board between Grosmont & Gothland but also from the lineside on the 1 in 49 gradient to the summit at Moorgates. We finish our review of the saint at Grosmont Motive Power Depot as her fire was dropped before she backed down onto the shed. Our next locomotive we review is The Bury Standard 4 Group's Standard 4MT 2-6-4 Tank 80097 on The East Lancashire Railway during November 2021. In this clip we have our 1st proper ride on the hole length of the line between Heywood & Rawtenstall. This was at the time 2 years in the making since her 1st revenue earning run in preservation in March 2019 following completion of her restoration from Barry Scrapyard condition. We end our review of 80097 as we pull into Rawtenstall Station the northern terminus of The East Lancashire Railway. That's it for Harnetty Rail Journeys for this program.
