Settlement Lore: Having been sent on a wild goose chase and fighting off the ghouls that inhabited Jamaica Plain to this day the soul survivor viewed the settlement as much as the treasure they'd come here to retrieve, worthless. Needless to say rather than try to establish a settlement here they quickly moved onto more important matters leaving the ruins now completely desolate. However much like the treasure of Jamaica Plains one man's junk is another man's treasure, and so on a routine patrol noticing the once dangerous town was now more or less desolate a small group of Rust Devils took over the land and slowly began raising defences. Although most of the ghouls had been dealt with nonetheless a few stragglers still emerged while the group scavenged the town suffering minor casualties but protected by they're signature Mr Handy/Assaultron robots suffered no fatalities in the early days. Needless to say walls where quickly erected around the outside perimeter to protect themselves especially at night and a special automaton was constructed to watch over the most dangerous entrance on the eastern side. Shacks where then constructed with view points in most to help defend the encampment, work was done to repair the existing structure on the west with anothet defensive wall built when a small raider camp was found and eliminated close by. Over time alongside robots defences improved as the group where able to create first standard turrets and with those in place more advanced laser turrets, defences they would soon need as the settlement grew. As the new encampment not only grew outwards but upwards it was soon spotted by another group of raiders set up in hyde park. This led to more walls being added to the south side of the settlement and a constant lookout by those assigned to scavenging for any hostile groups trying to sneak around. With superior weaponry and a now fortified base if given the chance to increase they're numbers a major war could break out between the various groups in the south, including the gunners at their plaza or the pack in Murkwater, to seize control of the area. Perhaps leaving an empty settlement which seemed of little use could come back to haunt the sole survivor if they return to Jamaica Plain again.
