Great White Shark Dive | Islander | Guadalupe Island

I’ve spent years obsessing over shark week, recorded all the shows, and driving my family crazy with all the shark talk. This video documents a vacation of a lifetime for me. My husband surprised me with a Great White Shark dive at Guadalupe Island. We left San Diego aboard the Islander (my favorite boat on shark week). We even had some of the same crew onboard! After a quick stop in Ensenada Mexico to go through customs we were Guadalupe bound. We went on this adventure to see the sharks but the trip, food, company, and view of the island were all top notch. Once in the cage we had multiple large sharks around us almost the entire time. I never thought we’d see the number of sharks we did. Getting to witness their behavior and identifying sharks first hand was such an exciting experience. Our crew took that experience to a whole new level. I truly don’t think they could have been any better. They were the best - always happy to answer questions and help with anything and everything we needed. We were blessed with a boat full of amazing people to share this experience with. If you’re a fellow shark lover, I hope this footage fuels that fire. If you’re one of the people that think shark divers are crazy, I hope this motivates you to learn more about these amazing creatures and protect them from the safety of dry land.
