Patriotic Duty Racing breaks offshore powerboat world record from San Francisco to Marina del Rey CA

On September 15, 2023 the Patriotic Duty offshore race team broke a 35 year old offshore powerboat world record by running their 47' Outerlimits GTX offshore powerboat from San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge to Marina del Rey in Southern California, breaking the old record by over an hour. This race, produced by ‪@OceanCup‬ was one of a series of endurance races hosted by the powerboat organization who aims to put the ocean back into Offshore Racing. As a member of the Ocean Cup team, I was invited to participate in this historical race by filming and photographing the team from the chase helicopter as we followed them down the coast. This didn't go completely as planned, but that story is yet to come on a future, full-story video. 2023 was full of great photo adventures, but this event takes credit for being the coolest one I did this year.
