Crds/Pap Edition (11/1/2010) https://amzn.eu/d/7kUmECF Secret Garden Cookbook: https://amzn.eu/d/cdBswL4 Apple cake loaf Recipie: 4oz Butter 4oz Sugar 4oz Self raising flour (or rice flour if gluten free) 1 to 2 brambley apples (less if using blackberries) 1/2 cup blackberries (optional) 1tsp cinnamon (optional) Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees (fan) Peel core and cut apples Place over medium heat for 5 minutes with A spoonful of sugar and squeeze of lemon. Taking off the heat afterwards and allow to cool. Cream Butter and Sugar with wooden spoon Beat in the eggs Fold in 4 oz Flour with cinnamon (if using) In a greased loaf tin, pour in a layer of cake batter followed by the drained fruit and then the remainder of the batter Scatter brown sugar on top for crunch Place in oven for 35 minutes checking after 30 Enjoy with creme fraish / custard / cream!
