When you have a sourdough starter, a big problem that we run into as bakers is how to do we make use of our discard? The discard is the leftover starter that we are not using to make bread or pastries. It feels wrong to throw it away, especially with how much us bakers need to feed the starter to maintain its strength. In my experience, there are really four things you can do. In this video I go over those four different options with you to help you make the most of your leftover sourdough starter, starting with dehydrating your sourdough starter.
