Midwinter on the Main Trunk - Trekking to Ohakune with DBR1254

On a wet and miserable 3rd of July 2023, the Glenbrook Vintage Railway's DBR1254 hauled The Spiral Express from Hamilton to Ohakune and return. The train consisted of the DBR locomotive, 4 'Aa' 50ft wooden carriages, 2 'A' 56ft steel carriages, 1 'AL' 56ft carvan, and an 'AG' van. The trip was well patronised and passengers had a great time viewing the spectacular sights of New Zealand's Main Trunk Line from the warm comfort of their seats... unlike us who were outside filming the trip! Apologies for the rain drops on the lens in a few shots. As can be seen in the video at times, the rain was falling at a slant and so umbrellas were futile in preventing my camera gear from getting wet.
