Before COVID-19 hit hard, we were actually fortunate enough to visit the beautiful city that is CDMX aka Mexico City aka Mexico DF. Despite having to come home early and missing out on more time we had initially had planned there, we did a pretty good job of eating our way through the city's vegan offerings. This is one vegan friendly city if I ever saw one. I absolutely LOVE this country and can't wait to go back to learn and eat more. Visiting the anthropology museum was one of the most interesting things I've done in my life. I cannot believe I had no idea (in the slightest) about Aztecs, Maya, Mesoamerica in general, the importance of corn, how the Sun and the Moon pyramid have nothing to do with the Sun and Moon and more. Having grown up in Australia I really had little knowledge of Mexico's history, their culture and food so it was such a humbling experience to visit a country with so much history.
