Lessons Learned From Nature | Riley Becker | TEDxBigSky

In my talk I'm sharing my story in relation with climate change. In seeing climate change first hand I have learned how important and real it truly is. There are so many political opinions in the topic of climate change, but when you take a step back it is apparent that it isn't only a political discrepancy. The climate crisis is very real and has taught me many lessons. The most important lesson being how critical it is for we as humans to begin making conscious efforts to help every species on this planet because we all affect and reflect one another. Riley is a senior at Big Sky Discovery Academy who fell in love with being outside from the very start, and by growing up in Big Sky Montana, it isn’t hard to imagine how her love and appreciation for the environment was cultivated. As an outdoor enthusiast, she’s learned that nothing brings more joy and tranquility than indulging in all that nature has to offer. Riley has been fortunate enough to see different parts of our world, and quickly grew to understand the importance of the environment and how it connects people around the globe. She loves doing nothing more than skiing, and can’t adequately imagine the following generations experiencing life without the presence of a healthy ecosystem.
