Part 1 Leticia Colombia Amazon River In this video we arrive in the Amazon Rainforest by plane and head straight out onto a boat to spend 2 nights sleeping in a tiny village along the Amazon River! This two part series shows what it’s like to spend a few days in the Amazon exploring all the wildlife and getting out on the river without spending a small fortune on a guided tour package. We booked everything ourselves including flights, accommodation, boat transportation and river activities. It wasn’t all plain sailing as our first tour guide wasn’t really a tour guide, he was a boat driver (who happened to be great a catching piranha!) so we didn’t really get to learn very much on our first day, but we did still get to see lots of River Dolphins, Piranha and even swam in the Amazon … for about 20 seconds!
