Essar Steel has the best-in-class Compact Strip Production (CSP) Mill in India with a capacity of 3.5MTPA. Recently, it created a record of casting 5,600 tonnes in 30 hours & 40 minutes of non-stop operations through single SEN (Sub Entry Nozzle). Where normally the refractory takes 12-15 heats of 200 tonnes each, this time it took a record 28 heats to cast 5,600 tonnes. Kudos to the efforts and belief of the whole CSP team, a true #EssarPride moment.
