Dexys have a long and successful association with the BBC - from their 'Top Of The Pops' performances to their Radio One Sessions and "Live In Concert" shows. They have also made several appearances on various other BBC shows over the years. In November 1980 Dexys appeared on a BBC2 show called "Something Else", performing "Tell Me When My Light Turns Green", "I Couldn't Help If I Tried" and "Love - Part One". Clearly the actual performances had been recorded some time earlier as Mick Talbot had replaced Pete Saunders on keyboards a couple of months prior to this airing - and the original Dexys Midnight Runners line-up splintered in November, with five of its members leaving to form The Bureau. This broadcast is also notable for the fact that Kevin Archer is missing - apparently following a temporary [at that point] fall-out with Kevin Rowland... which may or may not have been to do with the colour of his woolly hat! The song's harmony vocals are performed by an unidentified off-stage singer.
