🚆 HISTORIC CAB RIDE in central Switzerland on the Seetal Crocodile

Welcome aboard the very first historic cab ride on this channel! Today we find ourselves in Sursee, the starting point of the Sursee-Triengen-Bahn. There is no regular passenger traffic on ST infrastructure, only historic trains and occasional freight trains use it. Our steam locomotive NOB E 3/3 456 just had her yearly visit at the ST and is ready to go home. For multiple reasons, the steam locomotive and the carriages are shuttled to and from Sursee with the help of the electric locomotive we're sat in. It is the so-called "Seetal Crocodile", which is basically two shunting locomotives Ee 3/3 put together into one Locomotive. It is shorter, slower and less powerful than the famous Gotthard Crocodiles, but this was more than enough for the relatively flat Seetal Route. Our maximum speed today is a breathtaking 50km/h, it is a very noisy and shaky locomotive, but that's the spirit of historic trains, isn't it? Slow and steady wins the race! The old lady is still going strong and takes us to Emmenbrücke, where we will shunt around the train and drive back the other direction onto the Seetal Route. Please note, this was our first take at filming something historic and the camera didn't quite make it. The ride ends a little bit early and the raw footage is VERY shaky, but it won't be the last historic ride, it only gets better from here on. Sit back and enjoy the free back massage included! Locomotive: De 6/6 15301 "Seetal Crocodile" More information about the train and the trip is displayed in the video!
