Valenta Paxman VP185 Start-up, HST Cab Ride & more at Colne Valley Railway 02/05/2022

Coverage from the Colne Valley Railway's Bank Holiday "Steam and HST" event, which saw former EMT HST power car 43073's first passenger services in preservation, when it worked with 43082 on the 125 Heritage's short-form HST set. With 43082 acting as DVT initially, 43073 is seen starting up for the day's running before a few services solo. Due to turbo issues with 43073 later on, 43082 was fired up and powered the afternoon's services with 43073 providing ETS. This did, however, mean the opportunity to film a full wired cab ride aboard 43082 along the full length of the line from the carriage sidings, through the station and up to the Nunneries loop. Also in action was WD Austerity 3193 "Norfolk Regiment", on loan from Bressingham Steam Museum, to satisfy those with a more traditional taste for rail travel! The 125 Heritage group's sole ex-FGW MTU power car, 43071, was on static display with cab and engine room tours.
