[Tera HD] Guide to Warriors

lvl 60 skills:    • [Tera HD] Lv. 60 Class Skills   I don't claim to be an expert warrior, but I've been informed that people on the K-tera forums have been complaining about warriors ability to kill someone in a stunlock in battlegrounds, so expect them to be nerfed soon. I don't want people saying warriors are a bad class, because they aren't bad at all :x Carrying this over from reddit about people being offended on my 'they're DPS' statement To clarify, on top of saying they are not tanks, I also said I know they can tank. I've seen plenty of good warrior tanks out there and I'm aware they have a very strong arsenal that allows them to tank. I've tanked as one myself, through a dungeon, and immediately noticed the limitations I had compared to what a lancer could do. That being said, if you are picking a warrior to play as a tank, you're going to be disappointed when the patches in K-Tera that are in game ATM roll around, because if LFD is implemented you simply won't ever be put in the role of a tank inside any dungeons. There are several reasons for this. You have to look at your tanking from more than just the perspective of your ability to hold aggro and dodge attacks on a single BAM.(If you only look at this, then I could make an argument that slayers, archers, zerkers and sorcs are tanks too.) In a dungeon, a Lancer can pull a lot more than a warrior can in terms of trash and keep them all piled up for damage dealers to dispatch of them easily, without having the mobs change the direction they are facing. If a warrior tries to do the same thing, sure he may be able to hold threat on a large group, but to avoid taking massive trash mob damage, he'd have to rely on staying mobile with evasive roll or kiting, which would result in the mobs moving/turning around, which defeats the entire point of pulling multiple mobs in the first place. On top of this, high end dungeon mobs use enrage which increases their attack speed beyond the cooldown availability of evasive roll and death from above, you won't be able to dodge every attack thus are guaranteed to take damage whereas a Lancer can guarantee that he never takes damage if played correctly. That's not even going into the comparisons of leash vs backstab/staggering counter for interrupting BAMS major skills. There are more reasons lancers are considered the 'dungeon' tanks and warriors aren't, but this should give you a general idea. Thus, when in groups, warriors are given the roll of DPS. They've been buffed multiple times so that they can carry out this role in dungeons and have been played as such by the majority of Korean players. I'm sorry if I offended anyone that wants to play warriors as tanks. As I said in the video, don't get me wrong, I am aware they can tank and I've seen some good ones.
