In this video, I will be talking about the book “Hearts That Cut” by Kika Hatzopoulou. I read this book a few months ago as an ARC on Netgalley. I was really interested in the first book, especially because of the Greek Mythology references. I was really excited to spend more time in this world and with these characters. I was a little disappointed in this book. It is the end of a Duology, but very much felt like the middle book in a trilogy. The middle of the book was quite slow, and the build up at the end wasn’t as exciting as I had hoped. But, I am glad to know how the story ends. In this book, Io, along with her friends and sisters, continue to follow the gold thread to find the gods or goddesses that are responsible for turning corpses into wraiths.
