Tribute to Norman Jewison

Norman was one of two recipients of the 2012 King Vidor Award in San Luis Obispo, CA. This was my first tribute reel created under the direct supervision of Oscar winning editor Neil Travis. I spoke with Norman briefly before we left the restaurant and went into the Fremont Theater next door for the awards ceremony. A very gracious and sweet man from Canada. One thing he said he liked to do was share his home-made maple syrup w/ his actors. I could relate having gathered sap from the maple trees on my aunt & uncles property up near the Canadian border in Northern WI. He said Woopi Goldberg loved it so much she continued the tradition with her own maple trees!
