In many ways, we appreciate the nudge in this direction because we're really enjoying the flexibility and privacy of dry camping. Ken & Sheryl with Airstream Trippin mentioned that they were going to MerleFest, so we decided to join them. If you're not familiar, MerleFest was founded in 1988 in memory of Eddy Merle Watson to celebrate ‘traditional plus’ music and raise money for Wilkes Community College. Today, MerleFest is considered one of the premier music festivals in the country. It's also the first music festival we've ever attended ... and boy did it set the bar high! Six days of dry camping in the humidity was the time to test our 2,100-watt FIRMAN generator with the A/C. We have a 15,000 BTU A/C unit with an EasyStart Soft Starter. In theory, this should work ... And in this episode, you'll see how it goes in practice.
