2010 Honda Accord - Android Head Unit Install

More or less plug-and-play, with some caveats caused by the brilliant engineering decisions of Honda in the 2000s. Set the speed to 1.25 - 1.5x as needed, and enjoy. 12:20 - 12:51 has no sound for some reason...Sorry about that. Basically describing removing that shroud around the top screen, just a couple bolts need to be taken out. Specs: 8in double din, Android 10, 2GB ram, 16GB rom Backup Cam Install:    • 2010 Honda Accord - Backup Camera Ins...   Additional information/experiences (credits and Huge thanks to ‪@wiimaster2847‬ for the write-up in the comments!): - Vehicles with premium sound have an extra subwoofer/amp/etc, along with an extra connector on the back of the radio. Reconnect this connector to prevent any popping noises coming from the speakers when the factory radio turns on/off - Regarding steering wheel controls: Some variations of these android headunits support steering wheel controls that work both on the Android headunit and the factory radio simultaneously, while others seem to support one or the other. Be mindful in checking the harnesses in your kit for a little black plastic connector on one of the harnesses that goes from vehicle to factory radio and vehicle to android headunit. If you find the male connector on the vehicle side of the harness hooked up to the female connector on the Android headunit side of the harness, you may need to swap it over to the female connector on the factory radio side of the harness to restore steering wheel controls to the factory radio. - If you have an EX-L, you'll also have seat heater switches to disconnect when removing the center trim piece, in addition to the 12V outlet plug mentioned in the video at 3:55 - You may also opt to mount the GPS antenna on a metal brace to the left of the lower pocket where the factory radio display is relocated to. Users are reporting GPS lag where it takes several minutes for the GPS to register a signal (and consequently synchronize time) when the vehicle is first turned on, which doesn’t seem to have a fix. Please reach out and comment if you have further information on this. - By default, these units appear to not support FM radio through the Android headunit, you'll have to rely on the factory radio for that. You can hack together a setup that allows you to use FM radio on both units, but the easy solution would require you to pick one or the other and use an antenna adapter.
