This video captures the dramatic emotional reaction of the crowd to seeing the first seconds of the total solar eclipse at Oregon Solar Fest in Madras, OR on August 21, 2017. Observers howled like wolves as the Moon covered the Sun. We observed the Diamond Ring effect and Bailey's Beads before totality. We then saw the corona around the sun and the planet (Mercury) to the lower left of the sun, the planet Jupiter and sudden onset of darkness at the moment of totality.
