TEDxYouth@RHHS Ignite is an officially licensed TEDx event meant to symbolize a means of reintegration into post-pandemic life, one that brings forth new ventures and ideas as well as a re-ignition of one's passions and aspirations. Stuttering through speeches, sleeping through check-in, and getting destroyed by pros isn't fun. High school competitive debate is one of the most challenging extracurriculars for students. With such a steep learning curve, it can take years before one starts winning on the circuit. It can be demoralizing early on, but RHHS Debate Club President Alex Zhu is here to tell you why you should stick with high school debate even if you initially struggle. Join Alex as he tells his debate circuit tales and reflections that have made the activity worth every second. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
