4 Trains Downtown! Coal Mining Town Buildings Face The Pokey In Matewan West Virginia Fast Trains!

Fast Trains Passing Buildings That Face The Norfolk Southern Main Line! The heart of coal mining where coal was king! These trains are in Matewan, West Virginia on the Norfolk Southern Pokey. Look at the view as the tracks curve around the town and pass the awesome train station replica right by the main railroad crossing. I filmed an ethanol train, a couple of double stack intermodal trains and my wife filmed a coal train that you can see passing me. Coal is dying out here but there are still a lot of trains that pass through everyday. We stayed over one night here in the old historic hospital right by the tracks. I could just barely see the trains from our bathroom window when I put my head up to the glass to look at an angle. Check out the caboose here and the flood wall that protects the town. Trains on the NS Pocahontas Sub use 161.190 and 161.250 but since they no longer call out the signals, I recommend that you use 452.9375 for the End Of Train ( EOT ) device.
