The CAPESTHORNE HALL classic car show, May 2023

Our visit to the Capesthorne Hall classic car show 2023 turned up some real automotive gems as we'd expected. This is a regular event for us as the great setting in front of Capesthorne Hall itself tends to ensure a bumper turnout of classic cars for us to spend a day wandering around and admiring, at this classic cars event in Cheshire. The glorious weather was an added bonus, and it was great that we were both able to meet and chat to regulars who follow us here on Youtube, we really do appreciate the views, comments and new subscribers that these car show walkarounds lead to. Highlights at Capesthorne Hall this time were many, they include a rare pair of Ford Cortina Mk2 estates, a stunning Humber and the immaculate Viva HA alongside it, a Jaguar 3.4 saloon (Mk1) in BRG, a Mk3 Spitfire fitted with a fastback Ashley roof which reminded me of my own car in the late 1980s, a time-warp Vauxhall Magnum with just 6500 miles on the clock, two (!) Renault 9 Broadways, a SAAB 99 Turbo (a poster car for me as a kid), a straight-eight Buick roadster, plus a selection of Triumph GT6s. In this video I capture many of the classic cars as they arrived on site, then take a walk around the cars once they were all parked up. This is a two-day event, Jaguar was the featured marque on the Sunday (our visit), bank holiday Monday saw Mercedes-Benz cars in the spotlight in front of the main hall itself. It would have been nice to see more older Jaguars in this prime location, but I don't know how these things are decided. Fortunately there were plenty of classic Jaguars dotted around elsewhere, including the aforementioned Jaguar Mk1 which, along with the Humber, would have been my joint car(s) of the day. Once again the Capesthorne Hall classic car show didn't disappoint and we hope to be back there again soon. I'll include a link at the end of this video to one of the 2022 events that I filmed.
