In this video I restored an oil lamp which was designed in the 19th century. These type of lamps were called "Frosch Lampe" in german. "Frosch" means frog in german btw. These lamps were also called "Grubenfrosch" which can be translated into "mining frog". I bought it from an online auction and the seller told me that it was found in a basement of an old house hanging from the wall while the house was renovated. Unfortunately I couldn't find out in which year this particular lamp was made. Overall it was a fun project even though there was not much variety. Mostly it is like that when restoring brass objects. The work on the project took about 25 hours (inclusive filming) plus about 25 hours of editing. If you are willing to support me leave a comment, subscribe and share my work, I really appreciate and it helps me a lot! I hope you will have some fun watching the video! If you have any further questions on the process, tools, material or else write a comment, I will try my best to answer your questions. Until next time :) Second Channel: / @drhutslab Facebook: / hutofhandcraft Patreon: / drhutofhandcraft Instagram: / dr.hutofhandcraft 19th century "Frosch 107" oil lamp restoration I Dr. Hut of Handcraft
