This video highlights the projects run by Age UK Oldham as part of 'Fit as a Fiddle in the North West'. Activities promoting physical exercise, social interaction and healthy eating for older people who are living in care homes many who are suffering from dementia, or that are at risk of, developing mental health problems. Age UK 'Fit as a Fiddle' projects in North West England that promote health and wellbeing in people aged 50+ have been run in South Lakeland area, Lancashire, Mid Mersey, Oldham and Cheshire. Through all the projects, 'Fit as a Fiddle' in the Northwest has made a huge impact, benefiting the lives of older people in many ways. Age UK want to ensure that existing projects are continued, new groups are developed and the legacy created by 'Fit as a Fiddle' can benefit generations to come.
