1940s Rickenbacker (Rickenbacher) A-22 Electro Fry Pan Lap Steel Guitar Hawaiian Fry Pan Lapsteel

Available Here: https://www.antiquitone.com/products/... This lovely Rickenbacker Model A-22 Electro "Frying Pan" lap steel electric guitar was made in the late 1940s in Los Angeles. These 40s and 50s Ric. Fry Pans are quite a lot scarcer than their prewar siblings. Like the prewar models, it features a gold enamel finish on a cast aluminum body. It still retains the legendary Horse Shoe pickup in its 1 1/4" configuration. The tone is beautiful, powerful, and sustaining. Fully functional and accurate vintage-style tuners are fit to the guitar. The originals are included in the case. This guitar sports the original one-pot wiring style, which is clean and fully untouched. Like other 40s and 50s examples, the body is backed with a lovely red marbled Bakelite cap that screws in place. A few of the fret markers are missing. Usually, this gold finish is worn away or, worse yet, polished out. But on this example, it is almost entirely intact! It even still has its original black hardshell case. Rickenbacker's Electro Hawaiian Steel Guitar changed the course of music forever! It was the FIRST commercially successful electrified string instrument, as well as the first solid-body guitar ever manufactured. It truly was one of the most historically significant guitars of the 20th century. Overall length: 28 3/4 in. (73 cm.) Body Width: 7 in. (17.8 cm.) Depth at Heal: 1 3/4 in. (4.45 cm.) Scale Length: 22 1/4 in. (565 mm.) Nut Width: 2 in. (51 mm.) Weight: 6lbs. 10oz. (3.05 Kg.) The condition is Excellent!
