I'm the Run Director at the AVR Westbury 5k (July 2024)

The Avon Valley Runners Westbury 5k started in 2018, and is now in its 5th year. I took over as the Race Director in 2023, and since then we have grown to become a race that attracts over 150 runners from all across the region & beyond. This just was Pacers month, where we had a team of runners covering pacing duties from 17min up to 34mins. As an added bonus this month I was able to run the race whilst another AVR Race Director took over the reigns whilst I ran. Thank you to everyone involved in the race, all the volunteers, pacers, runners and spectators who make this an amazing race.
