There's no getting away from the uncomfortable fact that although German poster artist Ludwig Hohlwein was undoubtedly one of the most significant and influential illustrators of the 20th century he was also in later life an ardent supporter and member of the Nazi party, who used his talents to glorify the Third Reich.
