on the 81st birthday celebrations of Padma Shri Dr Puru Dadheech, The Ashitih Utsav, his student Harshita Sharma presented this one of his closest to heart compositions. It is a world known fact that Dr Puru Dadheech ji have reinstated Dhrupad nartan in Kathak dance in the 1970's at CHANDAN CHAUBEY SMRITI DHRUPAD FESTIVAL and he has a special love for aprachalit taels. Dr Dadheech has always kept the spritual side in dance at top, hence most of his compositions are dedicated to gods and goddesses. This kali Stavan is very close to him as its a rarest of rare composition in dhrupad and in aprachalit taal. Shri Kaushik Basu composed this track for Guruji's CD Srijan ke Kshan and Vaibhav Mankad gave his voice. Sandeep Mishra on Sarangi, Zubair Sheikh on Sitar, Sukhad Munde on Pakhawaj and Dr Vibha Dadheech on padhant. Enjoy this beautiful presentation by Harshita Sharma on this legendary composition.
