From being family owned to corporate, this is Storytown. From the beginning in 1954, Charles Wood created a small theme park in Lake George to it becoming a giant amusement park. It has lost the innocence and charm of a Nursery Rhyme Park to Six Flags The Great Escape. You can see how it started in the video from park's beginning to what it has become. Time marches on so people and places change but a lot remember what it used to be. Charles Wood was the grandfather of the amusement park. He opened before Disneyland. I tried to show the park in various stages using commercials of the park to show how it changed.
