Yes, the Rumours are true, and viewers across social media have been asking questions about the Black Denali that's been seen around the ranch lately. A NEW TRUCK for the RCSPARKS Studio.. but this time.. it's a FULL SIZE! I'm moving on from my 2013 Ford.. and stepping up to a true pulling machine. Regular viewers of our show are amazed and astounded at the massive and fascinating radio control vehicles I have on our channel - and most regular viewers know for many (7) years I have been rocking a FORD F150 Twin Turbo, all tricked out. Over the years, my needs have changed, and the RC's have literally gotten BIGGER! Including a massive 8000lb Skid Steer that is FULLY Radio Controlled! The truck I chose was the 2020 GMC DENALI 3500HD with the 6.6l turbo diesel, w/ the 10 speed Allison transmission. This truck has just over 900lbs of torque.. and being lifted up with a 6.5" BDS suspension on FOX shocks, coupled with TOYO OPEN COUNTRY M/T 37X12.50R22LT / (Fuel Wheels) this rides so nicely.. but NEEDS a massive drop Hitch. Because of the severity of the drop, I also got the stabilizer bars to install on my truck at a later date to make this hitch ROCK SOLID. The bars ARE removable.. but once they are installed.. make this hitch as rigid as any hitch needs to be. No Problem However, there are a few things to consider when towing with a lifted vehicle. First, a long drop hitch (12″ or more) will put added leverage on the vehicle receiver. In some cases, receiver hitch manufactures will then reduce ratings by as much as 50%. Secondly, a long drop hitch will typically create a lot more movement due to the added length and drop of the ball mount. Using the Stabilizer Kit (GH-0100) will tie the bottom of the GEN-Y adjustable drop hitch into the frame of the truck therefore taking the stress off of the receiver. The GH-0100 also prevents the bottom of the ball mount from moving, ensuring a safe towing experience. All GEN-Y products are rigorously tested and exceed the SAE-J684 Weight Testing Requirements. Never exceed recommended capacity on any trailer tow coupling or vehicle receiver hitch. PATENT PROTECTED@ How Does the GEN-Y Pintle System Function? The GEN-Y 21K Mega-Duty uses the standard GH-061 2.5″ Versa-Ball in addition to the GH-062 pintle lock to quickly and safely connect to pintle couplings. By simply pulling the pin in the pintle lock and sliding it back into the adjustable section of the hitch, the pintle ring can then be lowered down over the 2 5/16″ side of the Versa-Ball.
