Teston Level Crossing

A Class 375 in Southeastern livery and two Class 73s in Great British Rail freight (GBRf) livery with a Railhead Treatment Train cross at this quaint crossing both heading to East Farleigh, having come from Wateringbury. The two locos were an unexpected pass, and one was named 'Borough of Eastleigh'. Both trains sound their horns for the nearby foot crossing. The entire 375 fleet is expected to look as this one did by 2018. The crossing is next to Teston Bridge Country Park which sits next to the Medway. The road further on crosses it by Teston Bridge, a single lane bridge to be exact. This causes near collisions with cars speeding down the hill and not giving way. Whilst there, I saw 3 or 4 near accidents on the bridge. The crossing when it was first installed with barriers (and seen in SteveDD1's video) has one of the lights on the back of another, as there was no room on the right side of the crossing. However, when Network Rail upgraded the crossing, they thought that this was not the case, and that a normal light would fit on the correct side. The crossing functioned well, but on my last visit it already had taken a bettering. And then, as I always believed it should have been, during their next check-up of the crossing, they installed a tilted light to avoid high sided vehicle collisions.
