In this Grade 5 ABRSM Discovering Music Theory lesson I will begin to guide you through the seventh chapter of ABRSM Music Theory in Practice Grade 5 which looks at the instruments of the orchestra. Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion instruments are discussed. This chapter also looks at transposing and non-transposing instruments, and also percussion instruments of definite and indefinite pitch. I have been teaching music theory for over twenty five years and I’ll help you every step of the way - just as if you were sitting next to me. I have provided free a PDF information booklet with all the information you’ll need to work through the Grade 1 ABRSM Discovering Music Theory workbook, available in A4 and US Letter.
