Thinking of buying a Sony CX625? Watch this first. HDR CX625 comparison with DSC HX50 Real World Review. The CX625 released in 2017 is a bit disappointing when it comes to footage quality, I was expecting it to be better than the HX50 which was released in 2013. The only thing the CX625 has going for it is the built in gimbal which is excellent, but it's not worth paying the extra money when you can get the same, and in my opinion, better results from a camera £300 cheaper. You can't really notice all the grainy images on the YouTube upload but my advise is to avoid the CX625 especially if you're planning on using the footage on larger screens, it's picks up an unacceptable amount of grain, especially in low light scenarios, even when you have adequate lighting set up. Come on Sony, stop holding back on the technology for consumer products!
