As Secretary of State to the Minister of Children, the Elderly and Equal Opportunities (2014-2018), Pernilla was, among other things, responsible for the bill to make the Convention on the Rights of the Child into Swedish law, Sweden's contribution to the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, and for the establishment of a national children's rights delegation. Pernilla has also held leading positions within the EU Commission in Brussels and Stockholm, and has been Secretary-General of the think tank Global Challenge.
