I hiked and camped the Arran Coastal Way in May. 115km or 67 miles depending on the route you take. This was my first Long Distance hike with wild camping. It didn’t turn out exactly as expected and was quite the adventure!! I chose it because it is circular and I felt like it had plenty of back up plans if I needed them….which I did… And because I had never visited the Isle of Arran before. It definitely turned out to be much much harder than I expected! It took me six days of walking and involved a couple of 30km days across all types of terrain. I wild camped in my Lanshan 2, stayed at campsites and made things up as I went along. It was both the hardest and best thing I have ever done.
