For this aim, we have visited Kaczkan, a family enterprise from Klonowy Dwór in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. 00:51 Wooden floors step by step production at a sawmill. To manufacture French CHEVRON, we utilize certified oak wood from Polish forests. Wood logs that have completed the manipulation and debarking process are transferred to the sawn timber manufacturing line. 01:11 The log is edged and cut into wooden boards. Next, the size and class of wood are decided. It all depends on the quantity and kind of knots. The expertise and experience of workers are crucial. 01:47 The proper size wood It is picked up off the line and packed on pallets. Smaller components are delivered to optimising saws. They will be utilized to make the baseboard. In the sawmill nothing is wasted, thus sawdust and leftovers will be utilized to manufacture wood pellets. 02:05 Wooden boards. Lumber is transferred to the dryer, where it needs to give up extra moisture. In perfect circumstances, it will remain here for roughly 40 days. After this period, the wood is sent to the manufacturing factory in Klonowy Dwór, where the final floor is made. In a reciprocating saw, the boards are sawn into thinner pieces that will create the top layer of the parquet.
