Cycling the Pamir Highway Part Three || WO2W (EP.11)

Hi! We're Holly & Conrad :) We are currently on a bicycle tour around the world. Our trip started in April 2017 and we have been cycling east ever since. We crossed the to the Pamir Highway in August and are currently in SE Asia. After completing this section of the trip we fly to Australia & NZ and finally the Americas. In these videos, we hope to show you what our life is like on the road. Our last stretch of the Pamir Highway started from the town of Murghab, after arriving the day before we decided to keep the momentum up and leave the next day. From Murghab our group doubled to six and we rolled through the undulating mountains. The previous passes felt like a distant memory as we hit the dizzying heights of 4,600m. With the air thinning and snow melting on the ground we understood why the Pamirs are referred to as the 'Roof of the world'. Crossing into Kyrgyzstan we left the harsh arid land behind us and entered the colourful and fertile mountain plains. With a few more passes behind us we could let gravity do a lot of the work and descend down to the final destination - Osh Finishing this part of the trip was unimaginable at times. As we sat eating pizza and drinking beer in Osh all we could think was 'Wow...we have actually ridden the Pamir highway'.
