Persona 3 Reload Solo/Merciless Arqa Block 1 Bosses

Death Count: 28 Well 3 of these 4 bosses were relatively easy to fight. I’m sure you know where majority of my problems lie in this block. Will’ O’ Wisp Raven: You’ll notice I played this fight very passively. Didn’t want to take any big risks and just took my time to apply buffs and block when needed. Given all the extra turns I got from exploiting their weaknesses I knew I could just wait them out. Main thing to be careful of is the fire bird casting Sukukaja and making your ice attacks whiff. Good thing we got Bufula Gems. Heretic Magus: There are two things to keep note of in this encounter. One is that the Magus loves using Wind magic and two is the Grievous Tables love using Poisma along with Agi. Berith is the optimal counter to this fight as he resists both of their attacks and can tank hits with his defense stat. Even with the poison whittling you down, so long as you take your time and keep knocking them down with Ice moves this shouldn’t be too troublesome. Disturbing Dice: The hardest part of this boss is the beginning. I’m relying on dodging some of the early attacks with Sukukaja and taking out the Slaughter Twins relatively quickly so I can focus solely on the dice. Got a little dicey there at the start but once they were down I just had to switch Zouchouten and use his Revolutions against him. Only thing you really have watch out for here is the fact he uses Bewilder. However since I resist Strike, I can just block the damage off and remove the ailment from play entirely. Clairvoyant Relic: Ohhh the dreaded statue. Had to really think out of the box to deal with this damn thing. First things first, do not go into this battle with any Personas with elemental weaknesses. You will die a lot. Secondly, this is where I found out that while this boss no longer is susceptible to rage, it can be inflicted with despair. So I used this to my advantage and fused a Naga with Despair Boost. I also equipped Taka-Minakata with debuffs to make this fight more safe. Still took a plethora of healing items to get through. Pray it doesn’t manage to land freeze or shock on you, cause many times that will lead to your death. Also to note once you knock them below half life they will cast Marakunda, so make sure to get them as low as possible before you breach that threshold so as to make this segment much less painful. Beyond that just wait till you have another Bewilder land with Rakunda active to finish this damn thing off. At least you get one of the more painful encounters done early in this run.
