I am continuing my journey in testing gravel tyres, so that you guys can make an informed decision when it comes to deciding what the best size gravel tyre would be to buy and also what the optimal pressure is to run them on. The Vittoria Terreno Dry 47C Gravel Tyre is really not a bad tyre at all, and for me personally, rolling resistance plays a huge factor. These bigger tyres felt much quicker than the Vredestein 50C I tested, but the flip chip on the Giant Revolt had to be on the shorter position. I did not think that 10mm would make such a huge difference. But it did. Pros - Good rolling resistance with the slick centre. Knobs on side contribute to better cornering. Not the slowest tyre out there. Cons - Not the fastest tyre either. Overall it’s good all round tyre. I will, however, need to do a test during the rain season to test it on wet terrain.
