The West Conservatory will be demolished for the upcoming Longwood Reimagined construction. Demolition of the current structure begins spring 2021 and construction on the new facility will be completed by fall 2024. From Longwood Gardens website: "Built on the great 19th century tradition of glasshouses and enhanced with new, sustainable technologies, our new 32,000-square-foot West Conservatory is the centerpiece and largest component of the project. Like many of Longwood’s renowned features, it has a close relationship with water and seamlessly integrates the old with the new.
