A character who can only be described as ‘a product of his time,’ filmmakers have struggled to adapt him in the modern day, leading to him being supposedly “cancelled.” In this video, we’ll trace his evolution from 1945 to now. To do so, we’ll touch on his design and personality changes over a near 8 decades of shorts, series and movies, while also discussing his notoriety and current place in pop culture.
