L’usine, dont l’activité a débuté dans les années 1920, était spécialisée dans la galvanisation de l’acier.J’ai donc décidé de lui offrir une seconde chance de se rendre utile, non plus pour indiquer une pression mais pour transformer une énergie électrique……en énergie lumineuse !L’instrument de mesure est constitué d’un corps en fonte qui supporte l’ensemble cadran/aiguilles, et d’un capot en tôle muni d’une vitre pour protéger l’ensemble.J’ai du créer un socle en chêne (toujours fidèle au poste) qui apporte une touche chaleureuse au projet, et qui complète assez bien le coté « froid » de l’acier.J’ai ensuite crée une fixation pour le socle et percé le corps du manomètre afin d’y intégrer la partie électrique. Un travail au mastic a également été effectué sur les parties métalliques rongés par la rouille à différents endroits.Le cadran par contre a fait l’objet d’une modification complète étant donné qu’un simple nettoyage n’a pas suffit a lui redonner l’éclat de sa jeunesse et qu’un ponçage n’était pas concevable sans effacer les graduations . J’ai donc du le démonter entièrement, le scanner et le redessiner via un logiciel de retouche photo.Je vous laisse juger du résultat et vous souhaite un bon visionnage.N’oubliez pas de vous abonner ! The factory, which began operations in the 1920s, specialized in the galvanization of steel.So I decided to give it a second chance to become useful, no longer to indicate a pressure but to transform electrical energy.....into light energy!The measuring instrument consists of a cast iron body supporting the dial/hands assembly, and a sheet metal cover with a glass to protect the assembly.I had to create an oak base (always faithful to the station) which brings a warm touch to the project, and which completes quite well the "cold" side of the steel.I then created a fixation for the base and drilled the body of the manometer to integrate the electrical part. A putty work was also done on the metal parts eaten by rust in different places.The dial, on the other hand, was completely modified since a simple cleaning was not enough to restore its youthful lustre and sanding was not conceivable without erasing the graduations. So I had to disassemble it completely, scan it and redraw it using a photo editing software.I let you judge the result and wish you a good viewing.Don't forget to subscribe !
