A chilly October 5 day solo canoeing and hiking adventure in Killarney. I get a little bit of everything in this one, including the first snow of the season and some wicked winds that almost catch me out while crossing David Lake. I hike up Silver Peak and take in the amazing 360 view from the top. The La Cloche Range is about 2.3 million years old and these peaks used to be higher than the Rocky Mountains! Today, Silver Peak is about 550m high, similar to the CN Tower in TO. I also try out a new shelter / full coverage tent for my hammock...
