Plot: On October 8th, 1952, a Tring-to-Euston stopping train arrived at the station to pick up and drop off passengers while approximately 7 minutes late due to fog. Meanwhile, two other trains were late as well: a Perth-bound train hauled by a steam locomotive no. 46242 "City of Glasgow," an ex-LMS (London, Midland & Scottish Railway) Princess Coronation class, and a Liverpool-bound train hauled by two ex-LMS locomotives: a Jubilee class no. 45637 "Windward Islands," and a Princess Royal class no. 46202 "Princess Anne.". This is the moment that sets the scene for destruction. The Perth train passed a yellow signal and two red signals for unknown reasons and crashed in the back of a stopping train. It destroyed three rear coaches, then laid on the line where the Liverpool train was about to come in, and finally the Liverpool train struck the Perth locomotive. Caused the Liverpool train to deflect to the left side of the station.
