Battle of the Little Bighorn - Lego display

Hi guys, In this video I show you my Battle of the Little Bighorn Moc. I hope you will enjoy ! 😊 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Historical description of the battle ⚔ : The Battle of the Little Bighorn took place on 25th June 1876 in Montana Territory (organized incorporated territory of the US, that existed until 1889, date of its admission as 41st state in the Union; in short, today’s Montana) and opposed the Plains Indians (Sioux and Cheyenne), under the command of Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull, to the U.S. Army troops (7th Cavalry), led by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer. On the morning of 25th June, Lt. Col. Custer, positioned near the Native American camp, along the Little Bighorn River, decided to press on ahead instead of waiting for reinforcements. At noon, Custer’s 600 men entered Little Bighorn Valley. Shortly after, Sitting Bull, who found out about the inroad, rallied the warriors, while Crazy Horse set off with a large force to meet the attackers frontal. The commander tried desperately to regroup his men, but they were quickly overwhelmed. Custer and some 200 soldiers of his battalion had to face several hundreds of Indian warriors (between 1000 and 3000 warriors, according to different sources). In the space of an hour, he and his men were killed in action by the Native Americans. The Battle of the Little Bighorn, also known under the name of Custer’s Last Stand, marked the most decisive Native American victory and the worst U.S. Army defeat in the long Plains Indian War. After this reversal, the U.S. government increased its efforts to subdue the tribes. Within five years, almost all of the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne would be confined to reservations.
