The cheap $300-400 kits being one side and the super high end $10,000 kits being the other side. The Alesis definitely falls into the higher end of things coming in at $3,500-$4,500 depending on the configuration. However, the Strata easily has the best module I've seen, I mean it runs on Linux with a multi-core processor... It has crazy amounts of storage and a touch screen making it easy to navigate and fast to load sounds/kits.
