Silverton to Cinnamon Pass, Engineers Pass and Ouray on KTMs

July 21, 2014, This is the 2nd day in the P.M., of our annual trail ride in the Ouray area. Mike rides a 2014 KTM 500XCW and Russ is on his 2005 KTM 450EXC. Rather than just give you snippets of a trail, I try and show you the COMPLETE ride on the dirt, in case you want to ride this yourself. Highway time I reduce, but you'll see the all the road back to Ouray. Its a great view. It will take you almost as long to watch this as it took for us to ride it. This video shows the entire afternoon ride starting after we had lunch at Grumpy's Saloon in Silverton. We first ride around town looking for the steam engine of the the Durango to Silverton Railroad, then head up San Juan County road 2 to Animas Forks. We then go up to the summit of Cinnamon Pass and back down, then up to the summit of Engineer's pass and back down. We continue down the lower part of Engineer's Pass until we pop out at US 550. We then head north back to Ouray to finish our day.
