[SEATTLE HEAVY RESCUE RESPONSE] - Car crashed into RESTAURANT | Seattle Fire Department

Heavy Rescue call for the Seattle Fire Department, Police and AMR after a person drives his car directly into an asia restaurant in Seattle's International District/Chinatown on Maynard Avenue and King Street at about 2:20pm on June 22nd 2018. I was at Fire Station 10, which is nearby to the scene, when the call came in. From Station 10 Aid Unit 10, Engine 10, Ladder 1 and Aid Unit 5 responded, Engine 5 can also be heard responding two blocks away to the scene. On my way to the location indicated by "Pulse Point" Battalion 2 and Aid Unit 14 were caught as well. After that the Technical Rescue Team with Rescue 1 and Ladder 7, which are rarely seen en-route and especially on scene, arrived. Fortunately, no one was injured and the most units could leave the scene within half an hour. The Technical Rescue Team stabilized the old house with wooden beams after the incident. Because some of the eyewitnesses mentioned in their 911-calls, the car driver maybe smashed the restaurant on purpose, the incident caused a massive police response too. In the last few months this was a "common" kind of terrorist attack, in this case it was luckily not!
